Day 8
This morning was a slow one at the senior center, consisting mainly of cleaning out the supply closet. Before that, however, we helped Lynn set up for lunch when the food truck arrived, which didn't take long at all. The supply closet was a big mess, with file cabinets containing everything from paperwork to a CD player. One of the drawers contained over 50 decks of cards which were scattered all over. We proceeded to organize them neatly along with all of the miscellaneous items in the other drawers and we labeled each drawer according to its contents. We had finished two file cabinets worth of work when lunch time came. We served the lunch of the day which was an open faced steak sandwich with mashed potatoes and squash with grapes for dessert. The only hassle was cleaning up the pan that held the mashed potatoes, but after that, we were good to go and headed home for the day.

Jackie- Lynn called this morning. She gave you an amazing recommendation! She told me about how you took charge of Bingo, how you get your hands dirty with dish detail and how amazed she is with your up-beat personality.
ReplyDeleteShe really appreciates your help with the computer, copier, and with labeling all the chemicals, along with your other daily duties. She also mentioned how much the seniors love you there.
Thank you for being such a wonderful representative of NMHS!
Best,
Mrs. Harle
